I thought this would be answered more quickly if I gave it to my fellow crossword Abers.

What do call a person who deliberately pretends not to know something as they consider it non-U to do so? For example; a judge pretending never to have heard of, say, a pop star when he knows very well who they are as his rebellious teenage daughter plays their records all night! You catch my drift?
