Sunday Times Cryptic Centenary

There is a very good full page article about cryptic crosswords in today's Sunday Times . The article is prompted by the fact that next Saturday, 21 December 2013, is the 100th anniversary of the appearance of the world's first crossword.

Yes I have read it! But quite frankly the ST crossword has become ridiculously impossible and the paper should think about their contributions to the gendre that is ruining quite a lot of people's Sunday morning enjoyment!
