Someone suggested five course on another thread but I don't see why that is any better than the other answers or wine course.

I would also go with 'five' course. It's a substantial meal. Never really hear of a 'nine course' meal.

Thank you, elliemay1. I agree with you about the nine-course, but I'm not convinced that an answer concerning food is sought. It's a really confusing clue.
