Per Sia(m)
Still can't see why Per Sia is in there! Is it Latin?
Persia is an old country (around Iran area)
Rooney earns £200K per week. Rooney earns £200000 a week.
So a= per
Siam is a country that was, and unfinished it is Sia

Persia is an old country
That's how I see it, but but someone may parse it differently. It must be Persia though
scorpiojo gave it in the first reply

PERSIA = old country - it's the former name of Iran

a = PER, country that was unfinished = SIA(m)
I was just trying to explain it for mercedita
ok
Got it now, everyone! I didn't see that A could be PER. That was what was puzzling me. I do apologise for the late response. Got builders in, carpenter, plasterer, painter, tiler...what a mess! AND they arrive at 7.30am! not long to go now. Thanks again, everyone.
