Nearly there, but could do with some help with 35across: Iron filings perhaps in Japanese porcelain? Not right (4) I_AI The answer is Imai (imari less 'R') But the answer needs a letter/s removed before entry.
Also with the across and down clues the extra letters spell an instruction, I've got all of it apart from 23 down - 36 down, I have extra letters for all but 35 down, but they make no sense, so I've obviously made a mistake.
Hope these jumbled ramblings make sense, my excuse being a cold/sickness bug and it has addled my brain!
Any help gratefully appreciated
Thanks in advance.

The trouble is the letters I've got are I_AI and I was pretty sure they were correct. Please could you explain how you got title?
LIMAIL are metal filings.
Sorry, I meant the extra letter in 35d is L, from answer limail. The last words of instruction are "to title".

One last thing 34 down: Weaver's to become suddenly prosperous (4) _oom
Thanks to Negomi I know the extra letter is T.
A weaver is a loom, but that's as far as my brain goes!
I thought it was bloom, but now know that's completely wrong!
Help!
Weaver = Bo(tt)om - Shakespeare character.
