Just wondering if anyone can explain it, as i am a nosy cow...
Driving to a call, i saw an ambulance parked on the road outside a house, blue lights flashing.
I spent about an hour at the call and as i came out and stopped at the junction, the ambulance was going past. It had no blue lights and was going about 2mph. But- there was a man walking along the road in front of it (like you get with a hearse).
I know ambulances don't carry "deceased people", but I've never seen anything like it before. I had assumed the man was just crossing the road in front of the ambulance, but i was sitting at the junction long enough to see the ambulance was actually following him.
This actually happened yesterday, but I'm still wondering what it was about. Anybody got any idea?
Have you tried putting the street name etc into Google to see if anything comes up in either a web search on in their news? Know anybody on FB who lives in the area?
I can't think of a rational explanation for this event
That did cross my mind, sherr, although i would have expected maybe an ambulance member to be on foot, perhaps trying to speak to him, or something.
I haven't tried that, wolf. I will give it a go. I don't do Facebook, but there may be something online.
Hmmm. Nothing obvious online. May be something when the local paper comes out. Thanks for your ideas- i thought it might be something others had heard of, but i think sherr's suggestion is quite likely.
