Listener 4282: Coordinated By Mr Lemon
29 Answers
Sad to see a farewell crossword from Mr Lemon: I had not picked up the fact that he had died. A nice puzzle to remember him by though, with lots of nice clues and a final step that had me chasing around a bit to verify it.

It's always nice to learn something new! I haven't posted for a while as I've been away a lot, but have eventually finished the last three. I thought the numbers one relatively easy, but with scope for making careless mistakes.
Being literally about a hundred miles from the nearest printer and with only half an hour of painfully slow Internet each day, I was very happy to see a carte blanche. That said, progress might have been a little faster if I had scribbled out more of the clues without typos. A really nice theme and use of the carte blanche format - belated thanks to Mr Lemon. And I look forward to reading Staurologist's recommendation when I'm back - I do love how a Listener can introduce you to all sorts of unexpected new things.
Well that was really good fun - a thoroughly excellent puzzle.
Good mixture of easier/harder clues, logical ways to get into the jigsaw and it told me something I didn't know.
Thanks Mr Lemon - I've always enjoyed your Listeners and I'll miss you/them.

PS - I can just about parse it as it stands, but does anyone else think there's a tiny misprint in the 'Bloody' clue?

A fine swansong from Mr Lemon. He created some most entertaining diversions and this was no exception. He also published my first newspaper puzzle and we subsequently enjoyed some interesting exchanges - I recall once needing to quote about 20 lines from the Bard's first folio in order to justify the use of a single queried word in a clue. Thanks for the memories Mr. L
