Assuming that I have identified two of the triplets correctly, and the theme connecting each triplet, I cannot see the link between the triplet including 12A.
Also, what I thought was a potential word to highlight, based on the two theme words, albeit on a tenuous basis, seems unrelated to any of the three words in the triplet to be 'themed'. Any hints, please.

I am sure you have the right word highlighted as it does rather stand out - try working backwards from this - think of another brand of ??? and then see if your 3 words are synonyms for another defn of this brand. For the connector of the 3 with 13d in, just use his surname)
If you're still stuck ask again and I'll try to think of a better hint. (I'm hopeless at clues and hints!)

Roslyn, thanks for the reply. I'm not sure what you mean by 'brand', so I may be well off target. One triplet I have has the same first three letters for the theme word (what they are examples of) as the other for the surname relating to the other triplet. I haven't figured out the relevance of the title either, for that matter.
