yes coin
Take US out of cousin left with anagram of coin
chip?
Yes, co(us)in, I think. The clue could have been punctuated a bit better by the paper though.
chi(m)p ?
Distant cousin= chimp
money= m.
Chimp seems the better answer.
Sorry meant chip is better answer
Possibly, mally/oldred. M could be thousand= many. The word play doesn't feel quite right for either though. I think i prefer CHIP of the two
I had coin but I think oldred is right and the answer is 'chip', chimp being a distant cousin, so to speak, and 16D is Las Vegas.
How can you put a chimp in a coin slot??
Does M stand for money then? I suppose the money supply measures are known as M0, M1, M2 etc
CHIP ^^^^^
You can put a chip in a on slot as well as using it for roulette.
And there was me thinking only chumps went to Vegas but chimps as well????
They don't just have slot machines in Las Vegas! Chips on the gambling tables.
