Perhaps a bit easier than it looked (though in fairness whenever Shark is the setter I anticipate a seriously tough challenge!), but still a very lovely piece of work by Shark, and a delightful -- and colourful! -- finish.

An unsatisfying ending since, after all the fiddly highlighting, and looking at the grid from distances ranging from 6 inches to 15 feet, I have no idea what I should be seeing. I suppose to reveal that here would give the game away, so, hey ho. At least winter seems to have finally given up the ghost.

It might be asking a bit much to have a grid in which you could see anything with the area to work with?

I really enjoyed this. Some great clues with some well-disguised misprints, and the theme hidden until right at the end. I think the final grid is a pretty good representation of the theme, and I definitely can see the point. A much better puzzle than this week's Listener - something I seem to be saying most weeks these days when I compare the EV with the offerings elsewhere.
