My attempts to log onto today's AZED crossword have been frustrated by a message saying that my security settings are disallowing it. The same message comes up on my wife's and a friend's computer. Has anyone else found this and hopefully a solution to it? Thx

Many thanks bibblebub. Pouring here so you've made my day!
you're very welcome, I'm in 2 minds as to whether to start it now or leave it till tomorrow
The original problem lies in your Java settings. I'm assuming you have a Windows PC: if so, launch 'Configure Java' from the Java folder in your start menu. Select the 'security' tab and set the security level to medium (the lowest setting). Then click on 'exceptions' and add the Guardian website to the list. Don't do this (or return Java to its default settings) if you are really concerned about security, because Java does pose a theoretical risk.

Thank you bathtub for this information. I'll think about it but at the moment don't believe I should do anything to lower my defences!
