Have just started on this this morning and spent a couple of hours on it. I have around a third of the solutions but struggling with the grid. Guess it should become clearer once I have the majority of solutions but some look v. difficult without any crossing letters to work from.
Can I assume from the instructions that the first clue's solution goes in the first row and so on ? Also, do we have to sort of guess where the six unclued entries go ? All seems a bit too much but I'll persevere.....
I spent a while trying to fit the first clue into the top row before realising that it would not fit there with the down entries that I had. The top row is unclued.
Wel, what a slog thís is ! I'm almost there but can't quite see the hidden word. Think it's the fifth of the set.
Also stuggling with last two entries in botom left:
"Person begging singer to leave discarded apparel" BE-E- and
"Base unit for local to mark off, carrying tons" --T-E
Thanks for any help
