Further To My Reply On Mikey4444 Thread
England is becoming a very scary place to live. Places such as Tower Hamlets were in the news because of their violence but it's seeming to be everywhere.
Where I live there's gang culture just rearing its ugly head. Youths roaming street, drinking, driving illegally, drugs etc before it was little groups of friends spread out, but now they seemed to have teamed up and situations are occuring such as anyone comes on 'their terrority'- and stupidly it could be a neighbours boyfriend from the street up the road or someone who goes to their school but not from this specific area. I say specific as there's been fights with youths from as close as a few streets away= and they are 'run off the street' so far nothing like the violence in mikey4444 thread or the one I'm posting but you can feel tension in the air.

Their lives have been ruined at some a young age. I suspect that most of the factors that have been mentioned by others are too blame. Gang warfare seems to be out of control in some of the rougher parts of Britain but it must be remembered how rare it is for a child to be found guilty of murder.
Well, wait a minute.
We have been told time and time again on this site that the present era is no more violent as a society than the previous eras ...say 50's and 60 's.
We have also been told that the abolition of corporal punishment in the homes and schools would result in the decrease of violence for future generations.
I have seen none of this.

The murder yesterday stemmed from friction between the Pakistani and Somali communities. That is a local thing to the area. I don't think you can make generalised comments about the rest of the country based on it.
Not sure Corporal punishment has been banned in the home. Even if it had, I suspect muslim parents would physically punish their children anyway, because their religion supports physically harming minors.

Hi boxtops, I'm in Bradford area
Completely agree with you anotheoldgit
Sorry mikey4444 I didn't mean to belittle your post, just making observations that it's getting worse (specially with the post you meant about the boys so young, so many of our youth think violence is an answer)
Seems that's the other way around sqad
Gromit, I apologise, maybe I should have said 'Parts of England are becoming scary places to live...' also I had no idea that Islam treated children like that, I come into contact with many Muslims in work and they all seem to revere their children :0(

Oh so it was a racial aggravated murder then, I wonder why it wasn't reported as such?
Unfortunately this sort of thing will become increasingly more common place in a multi-cultural country such as ours.
