Australian Helicopter Pilot And Tv Presenter

Back in the 80s, or perhaps the 90s, there was an Australian guy who used to pilot a helicopter all over Australia, and often made reckless and breathtaking moves which could easily have ended in disaster. His exploits were filmed - possibly by himself - and made into a TV series, which was shown on British TV. He was a bit of a lunatic of a presenter, with quite a naff way of talking.
I've been trying to find out if there are any clips of those programmes anywhere, but I cannot remember his name, so I've fed all the usual information into Google search - and it's coming up with nothing that I recognise.
Anybody remember those shows, and the name of the presenter/pilot?
