Nothing new there. The city of Dundee announced it had decided to twin with the Palestinian town of Nablus in 1980, and has been flying the Palestinian flag ever since.

I wonder who gets to decide which world trouble hot spot they are going to sponsor?

Will write off to my local council and see if they want to back struggle of the Big-Endians plight against the Little-Endians.

Ah yes, the subject of twinning cities, if there is a need for such a thing, perhaps one should consider twinning with all the cities of the world?

/// Mayor Shak’a was later fitted with a second pair of artificial legs in the Dundee Limb Fitting Centre. ///

I have heard of the exchange of gifts on such occasions, but what was that all about?

Not being psychic I have to ask, What is that ^^^ all about?
// Mayor Shak’a was later fitted with a second pair of artificial legs in the Dundee Limb Fitting Centre. //

No 'Jake the Peg' comments please.
it makes sense to twin with 'third world' cities now in readiness for independence.
yes,
I don't agree with this at all for lots of reasons and also consider it irresponsible as it has potential to cause racial tension / hatred. Surely even a careful balanced community impact assessment would indicate this to be not worth the risk.

The flag flown on Preston Town Hall was in response to request / demands made by a 'Charity' that openly supports the brutal Islamist-fascist terrorist Group Hamas, so this is bound to stir up trouble somewher .
