Very tragic that one man died and others seriously endangered their lives but if they had stopped off in Belgium where the container was loaded they could of sought asylum there and may be the chances of survival would have increased. After all there is no pressing necessity to enter this Island is there when they could of got out of the container earlier. I just hope they don't have Ebola or TB and seriously endanger the lives of the tax paying British public.

It is ironic that the previous post on News is "Pay more tax to fund the NHS"
When you read Sqads post on that subject he states that some NHS trusts are almost bankrupt for many different reasons and overwhelmed. When you read on this thread the amount of NHS hospitals and medical emergency measures that are used, re this illegal import of misery, and will be funded by British tax payers then it is no small wonder the NHS is almost bankrupt and overwhelmed and we are asked to pay more tax to stabilise it.

Its possible Retrocop, that the container was sealed as it passed through Belgium, hence the extreme dehydration of the occupants. If they had the option to hop out there they would have done so; survival is a human instinct.

They were released in the UK because they hammered on the side and made a noise. If they didn't enter the container in belgium, why didn't they make a noise there. They wanted to be rescued in the UK.

It might be a bit presumptuous to assume that they knew where they were, and where they were not. Or perhaps they did want to come to the UK after all. But the death is relevant because it shows how serious the risks are that some of these people take. Such risks are hardly going to be taken lightly.

I have some sympathy but letting anyone stay in the country who stows away in a container (or vehicle) is compromising the security of the country and it's health.
