Called NHS 111 on Sun. 15 mins for them to answer, then ½ an hour answering questions. She said out of hours service will ring you. An hour later they did. No info had been passed to them so I had to go through it all again. The man I spoke to said he would send the Doc within 2 hours. Doc arrived 5½ hours later. She didn't even take his temp. She prescribed 'simple linctus'. A total waste of a day.
Monday I rang the surgery. Doc came within the hour and prescribed steroids and Anti-Biotics. She considered sending Mic to hospital but knowing how he feels thought he would be better at home. He is now on the mend.
Which is more than can be said about me. I have the worse cold I've ever had. Coughing, sneezing, every bone aching. I suppose I'm a bit run down. I'd love to go to bed with a hot toddy but can't. So press on I will.
A mention for Kvalidir, Saw your post earlier, thanks for thinking of me.
Jeza I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling a bit run down. Instead of your usual B&C tonight have that hot toddy 2 paracetamol and take your self off too bed.
WE hope you and Mic are on the mend soon.
Love to you both
Queenie and Nungate x
What a nightmare. Sorry you are feeling so rough what with everything you are coping with. Try and have a hot toddy, a blanket on the sofa and feet up for a while - if you can xx
