Danny - I am afraid I misled you. I have just checked and it looks as though Bryand signed in on 13th Novenber at 10.37 so I can't see Ed doing anything. Perhaps I'll try another fao for him.
Not sure Danny - all I did was go back through my posts til I found him then clicked on his avatar, which said he was active on that day. I don't know how else to do it. Perhaps you do?
If I remember rightly a thread from when someone else went missing for a while, some browser settings can cause last activity to update, sorry can't remember exact details.
The last activity date/time is not the same as the last time that someone logged into the site - if you log out of the site but leave the cookie then a visit to the site without logging-on still updates the activity date/time in the cookie.
No but the last time we asked ed to contact him he (ed) said that as Bryand had been recently active then he couldn't 'hassle' him. I guess there is not much more we can do. It's a mystery.
... so it is possible for someone to use a bookmark to get to this website but then not know the username/password in order to log in but that activity will still show up in the user profile.
Apologies, I've just done a test of what I said and it didn't happen... I am sure it has done in the past, maybe with another browser, when I've stayed away from the site for a couple of weeks but noticed that the activity had been updated even though I hadn't logged on.
Just a thought, could it be that he is using AB on his phone also?
If you look at my status it's always active unless I drop signal with my phone network. I don't have to be doing anything and yet I sign in automatically without even open my web browser.
