Well I enjoyed that - a proper Goldilocks puzzle - "Not too hard, not too easy" just right for a busy weekend before the (ahem) 'festive season'.

I always feel a bit odd rubbing out entries that I have sweated over entering ... but in this case it's very appropriate to an nice theme.

Got the theme on my iPod, although to be honest it's probably the sort of thing you want to watch rather than listen to. Anyway, fairly steady progress through the grid, thanks Phi.

I agree with the consensus that this was an enjoyable puzzle. i didn't know the background, so that made for an entertaining Wiki read. I'm grateful that the highlighting requirements didn't involve a long bout of staring at the grid.

Not finished yet but more enjoyable than last two weeks' puzzles, which we took so far but decided that they were more complex and self-gratulatory for the compiler than interesting for the solver. Must be getting stale/cynical.

A very pleasant and satisfying solve, with a theme that's certainly been used before, sometimes bringing in other related material, but perhaps not as a Listener. Couldn't believe that the rapid grid-fill didn't have to be followed by tormented grid-staring. This wasn't Phi at his Kea- or Sabre-emulating fiercest, but after the last three weeks I was glad of that.

I assume that the single significant letter was just short-hand for the thematic source. Shouldn't it have been two lines lower in the grid?
