Second Cold And Diabetes

My husband is diabetic, takes insulin, and has just come down with another heavy cold, within 5 weeks of the last one, usual symptoms, headache that is difficult to get rid of ,streaming nose etc,etc. He has had the flu jab, although I have since read that this years jab, is not as good. I s it usual to get another cold so quickly....am I worrying unnecessarily ?
