Captain, there is no clue. There were 2 clues missing (intentionally I presume) the checking letters spelt out HOLY WRIT the theme was the Bible

davey - sorry but you've lost me. Are you saying that 'Holy Writ' is already written in the crossword before you start? Or is it that you have 'WRI?' from other clues?

Captain there are no unchecked letters for HOLY WRIT they are from letters of clues already solved. This is THE WEE STINKER a very strange crossword.
