Server of feud - spooner
I vote - Spooner

The quote looks like a spoonerism and he was a Reverend.
There's a column, 'Pseuds Corner', in Private Eye. Scorner?
Spooner (as in Spoonerism)
On brief reflection, Spooner it is.
Server of food - as a spooner might be as well as the preacher himself
Good. Hadn't thought about a double meaning.

Thank you very much everyone - forgive the pun but I did not have a clue!!!!
The problem is it doesn't quite work because pseud and food do not rhyme.
Depends how you pronounce it
I would say (p)seeood and food.
