The Definite Article (the)
The Indefinite Article (a and an).
An article is a word (or prefix or suffix) that is used with a noun to indicate the type of reference being made by the noun.

When I was a child I had a speech impediment and required speech therapy. I was always taken out of English lessons for this. I missed getting to grips with the building blocks of the English language.

In grammar, "a" & "an" are "indefinite articles"; "the" is a "definite article"

My lack of understanding of the English language has never really held me back but does sometimes frustrates me when I have to write reports etc. I always get annoyed with the auto correct in word which basically says what you have written is gobblygook try again!
