Saturday. Lots of cloud making it seem like it's still night. Not too warm either. Tiggy didn't stay out long, had his supper and looked at me as if to say 'Ta squire. I'm off back to bed. Night night' And off he went. He had his favourite smoked pancetta, so he was happy.
As I type the cloud is drifting away, but it's going the wrong way, south, on a Northerly wind. The prevailing wind here south westerly, so it's not looking good. Oh well.
Best regards to Tiggie. They're an endangered species now, according to recent news article (I'll spare you the url as this is a chat thread).
Meanwhile, there must be a lot of snails not getting eaten. Dawn chorus near me now: so many blackbirds at once I can't pick them apart so as to count them. Snailmageddon!
Empty thread as I started replying so good morning to the inevitable in-firsters
:D
Morning hypo. You're right, they are getting to be endangered. But my lad knows where he is well off. I don't see many slugs and snails in my garden, he does his job before he has his supper, unless it is too nippy for them to be out, like last night. :o}
As usual, I'm just finishing off a night of watching telly, listening to the radio, sorting out things on my computer and rescuing a frog from the jaws of a cat. I'll be off to bed soon.
Thy've killed 4 blackbirds and a frog so far this week. The frog that Tablo brought in tonight though was particularly vociferous in its protests, so I got there before it had come to any great harm.
Before Vera retired, she was a sheltered accommodation warden. one resident had a cat that never, ever, went out, even if the door was open. An agrophobic moggie!
