Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Completely stumped on last one:

7 down. "White or blank space to be filled with a letter in a crossword" (5)

I have ?I?H (I'm certain both letters are correct).

You would think that the youngest cruciverbalist would know this - but for the life of me I've failed.

I'd been struggling to make sense of this as well, Seekerz but the OED gives the following as one of the definitions of 'light':
"The answer to a clue in a crossword puzzle".

Examples cited include this from The Listener in 1965:
"Some of the clues are two lines of verse, each by a different author. The names of the two authors have three or more consecutive letters in common and these letters form the light"

. . . and this from Scientific American in 1967:
"The horizontal words..are called the cross-lights or simply the lights"

Even so, I'm not convinced that the Telegraph's clue is wholly accurate!
