13a Lost pet bird repeatedly earns you 50p, say (7) ????G??

Polygon.

groan, need a headache tablet now but the paracetamol

****Nerd alert***

...although, strictly speaking, a 50p piece is not really a polygon as a polygon is a plane figure that is bounded by a finite chain of straight line segments closing in a loop to form a closed chain or circuit.
Not only is a 50p piece a 3d shape, but also the 2d face has 7 curved sides making it an equilateral curve heptagon which is not a polygon.
It's not a haiku, either. :-)
Oh my gawd - all that and before 8.00 am!! My head hurts.
Is that the dance the All Blacks rugby team do, Tilly2?
Is there a whiff of pedantism here?
It could well be, ff, providing it has only 17 moves.
I don't know,
What you mean
Tell me Tilly, do.

Was there another clue involving Haiku?
Sorry, counted my syllables wrong
:-) That is funny!
Yes, I messed that up.
Maybe I need to get hold of yesterday's Mail to work out what the heck haiku's got to do with it
FF Haiku is not part of the clue.
I was just referring to another post where I was being 'nerdy' by pointing out that a little poem was not, in fact, a Haiku.
Don't worry about it, ff. It's just my sense of humour.
/// a little poem was not, in fact, a Haiku.///
it is if it's English :-)

You've lost me there, ael.
Thanks Tiily2- I'll try to find your thread.
Pedanticism has its place
Thought it was the parrot that was lost.
And the plot.
//pedantism has its place//
I don't think it has in relation to crossword clues.
