You will have noticed about whatever subject, then a member disagrees or has a snide remark then it starts, what the hell is a matter with people? each person's views are different, except it, I have very strong views about a lot things but it does not get me to the point of slagging the other member off, It this site getting to the point that you think twice about voicing your views? we all know there are a few smart rses on here, easy answer, ignore them, this post is "NOT A MOAN" or a RANT but just an observation of the way things are going on here at times.

TWR...this site is completely tame compared to what it used to be.

This site has become very 'xxx' and 'how are you' and private jokes. It's bored people to leave.

I'll be honest TWR no I don't really notice that now, it did indeed used to be far worse and I know it's hypocritical of me because I don't like to be on the receiving end but the threads with these snidey comments are often the only interesting thing on here.

It is difficult to speak one's mind without hurting someone, the problem being that when it happens time and time again to the same person they get depressed.

I have also been attacked on here by someone who was subsequently suspended form it. It can be extremely hurtful + has made me feel this is not a place I want to be for "banter" + friendly chat any more.

However, I am much indebted to the genuinely kind + helpful people in the Technology section whom have assisted me m any times.

C'mon TWR a bit of cut and thrust is the spice of life on AB which does indeed mimic life as whole. Ummmm is correct, 5-8 years ago AB was quite a vicious place compared with AB today which is rather tame, in my opinion.

BUT....there is a difference. In the AB of yesteryear, one knew the "troublemakers" and those that would insult you and it and they were quite overt. Their insults were there for all to see and above board, but today's AB is quite different.

The ones's who are insulting are more devious, more covert, often popular members of AB, little old ladies who live by themselves, in a little group, wave to each other someone that you would never believe would say a bad thing about anyone. Often described by ABers as kind, understanding and a credit to the sight......WRONG!!!.......these are the people to watch out for and they would not only insult you, but members of your family.........that is crossing the line.

TWR.........watch out for the "nice people" at least you know what to expect from the "troublemakers.

That's a shame Bathsheba, I haven't been here for very long but it seems like a friendlier site than most!
