It's hard enough getting to an 'Excellent' score as it is, but when they don't allow GEESE in today's effort, you've no chance. Not the first time though. Previously MICE and TEETH have been disallowed.
I assume you do it on line? I write the words down the side of the paper so I allow geese mice and teeth :-)) I suppose they are technically plurals though, I just don't allow things with s on the end ie puzzles .
I wouldn't have expected plurals not ending in S to be disallowed but I just do these for fun whenever I see them and never check my answers. Is there also an online version with a prize ? I assume when they set the scores needed for Average, Good, Excellent, etc they take a count of the fact that they will not allow certain words.
The online version doesn't have a prize the name game often fails to as with correct answers the wrong letters come up at the end to resolve the anagram
Doh! I've just realised my three examples are all plural forms of words. Seems a bit unfair. I appreciate disallowing adding an 's' to a 3 letter word to make a plural but it does seem harsh. But now I understand at least!
