General Knowledge Jumbo

If any GK fans have noticed the occasional jumbo GK in the Sunday Times (usually 4 puzzles over months with Bank Holidays) I’m glad to announce that as from the beginning of this month it is an ongoing weekly feature as part of an expanded Sunday puzzles section. As it stands most puzzles will be from me, but we’re arranging for this to be 7 out of 8 weeks to take into account times when I may be unable to supply because of holidays or other commitments.
You’ll still have to endure 1 out of 3 cryptics from me – I’m not passing up the opportunity to continue with my little inflictions of torture ;)

The continuation of this series in a new weekly puzzles pull-out was cut and dried until today, but I’m sorry to say there’s a postponement. It’s actually got nothing to do with puzzles, rather some other content that's encountered some kind of technical issue, so we can’t see the GK Jumbo series starting until October at the earliest (it’s likely to be later than that but, fingers crossed, we’re not talking about a delay beyond the end of the year).
A bit disappointing, but the ed does at least have a healthy stock of Jumbo puzzles ready to go, and there are a couple more to run this month.
