Hi Billy nice to hear from you. Well I am just waiting to have a hip replacement. I've been in a lot of pain for a while now but didn't know what it was! It could be up to 18 weeks wait so will have to put up with it for a bit longer. Old age does not come alone, as my Mum used to say. Not looking forward to it much as it is likely to be done under epidural, lots of banging and sawing according to the consultant! How are you keeping? Nice to hear that you and Vakayu are still in contact x

Aye not so good about your hip, you will not feel anything, when i broke my hip in Italy i was given an epidural, as you say you here them working but it is fine me and vak e-mail most days it is great to speak, i was in Aberdeen hospital at the weekend for a check up for my eye that was operated on not so long ago and all is good next check up in 6 months, it is a shame that you have to wait so long to get your hip fixed that is the N.H.S. for you let me know how you are getting on, better go now away to slice the pork loin for dinner, Take care x

having been a consumer of a hip replacement ( 2 ( under spinal - which is kinda like an epidural
it is straightforward

The first thing I noticed when it all wore off was: the lack of rest pain
I still wake of a morn and think - Golly I have slept thought the night - AGAIN

so - go girl !

O the patients comment on hipe replacement are

greater than 95% say it is life changing ( like me )
