I'm only 20 miles away from Diss (to the south) and I've not noticed any fighter activity. It's probably just routine training activity from Coningsby.

Around here (near to Wattisham) it's all ruddy helicopters. When there's a big exercise on it sounds like the soundtrack to the film 'M*A*S*H'! (The Suffolk Police helicopter is also based there and seems to fly low over my house every time that it's called out in the middle of the night!)
70th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain. 70 years ago was the worst day of the battle. More German aircraft than any other day, but also the day the Germans realised they were not going to beat us. Regarded as the turning point in the battle.
True, Eddie, but I don't think that there are any jets taking part in the commemoration:

Yes, it is all types of military aircraft but mainly vintage fighters.

They are back,as I post, now the rain has stopped, doing rapid climbs and descents. The one I glimpsed yesterday ,between clouds, was definitely a Typhoon. Not far from you Buenchico, in Eye.
Saw a Delta wing fighter earlier over me just 9 miles from Duxford. I don't know enough to recognize it.
