For those of you with an arts/culture interest, I’d like to recommend a new crossword series that may be of interest. NADFAS Review is a quarterly magazine for whom I set a handful of puzzles before handing over the reins to a trio of ‘novice’ (they’re actually very, very good) clue-writers from my clue-writing forum called DIY COW – I’ve fallen back to an editorial role. There’s a preamble to each puzzle which points to an article in the magazine which will help with some answers.
I was slightly nervous about taking on replacement setters but if the first puzzle is anything to go by we’re all in for a treat. Set by Hoskins, it’s as good as anything you’ll find in the top newspapers; imaginative and at just the right level of difficulty.
I’m hoping you’ll consider taking out a £10 subscription for the print version. £2.50 per issue is pretty good anyway (the mag is around 80 pages) but for that you also get loads of discount vouchers to events, museums and the like.
Here’s a link to the online version – just navigate to page 74 for the crossword.
