Ev 1197: Works

After some time out, I am trying to get back into the swing of EV!

In last week's effort, I cannot locate the letter "I" in the (3,5) work
or the letter "A" in the (2,7) work!

Any help would be appreciated,

I had the I of the 3,5 in 20d (Italian is part of the defn)
the A is from 13d impAir

I am certain that your suggestions are correct and I can see how they evaded me. I completely missed "I" meaning "AYE" or "YES" ~ and "Italian" being part of the definition!
