Pay Pal Scam
9 Answers
I know you're all intelligent folks on here, but I was wondering, have you or any friends, received the following scam email purporting to be sent by Pay Pal?
I knew it was a scam immediately as it wasn't addressed to me by name, but I have to say it was professionally set out and included the Pay Pal logo and contained no spelling or grammar mistakes, that I could see.
As I say, I dismiss this type of message if it's not sent personally to me. Anyhow, if anyone is interested, this is the offending email:
Pay Pal

This one is quite common - forward it to spoof@ paypal. co. uk - they claim they investigate them (but I find that doubtful). And yes, even a small percentage being successful would make it worth the scammer's while, unfortunatel y (say they send out 5 million, if only one person in ten thousand falls for it, that's 500 bank details they've trawled)
