Pouring rain all night here. Very heavy but at least it's a lot better than the poor folks in the North of England and the south of Scotland. I can't even begin to imagine how their lives have been turned upside down.

Have to go soon. Out early today as I'm off to London later. Oh joy...

I managed to catch up on some much needed sleep last night so feel a LOT better this morning.

I'm fine thanks tinks. Had the first silly season dinner last night.

What on earth do you want to go to London for?

I'm meeting friends there for lunch. Quite a few of us heading there. I agree, must be mad. I try to avoid London as much as possible. I was hoping it would be cancelled but alas, it's still on !

Had my first Chrssie lunch last week. Got another one today and another two next week. I'll be as fat as Mrs Claus !

Oh well, all you can do is try to forget you're in London and enjoy lunch. :o}

We'll go to Paull's in Covent garden for brekkie, then a wander and then Fortnums for morning coffee. Don't know where lunch will be as yet.

A sightseeing trip then!

I'll certainly be avoiding Oxford Street. I always try to avoid it at any time of the year. Pickpocket's paradise.

A sightseeing trip around Fortnums food hall.Always a treat. Their champagne truffles are the best in the world. I buy them every year and then wait for the huge bill coming in on the credit card.

Indeed it is. It's got to be a serious reason to get me to go to London.

The last ever school awards night tonight. Woo hoo, not because it's awards night, boring things they are, bunch of stuffed shirts warbling on for ever and ever. But because it should be the last I have to attend.
