I would dispute that Noel Edmonds is anyone with 'influence'.

It depends what you think of as 'influence' - personally Mr Edmonds opinion is no more or less valid because he is a television personality - that makes him well-known, which is not the same as influential.

The situation Mr Edmonds has encountered is the result of generations of under-investment in infrastructure, and is unlikely to actually support his premise that Britain is 'full'.

The musings of people on social media are just that - it's hardly a manifesto for the future of the nation is it.

It's been clear that the country is overpopulated for ages now. Not just because there are so many vehicles on the road that journeys can be abominable. But that is an indication. The subject has been discussed many times. Any celeb can be influential. Anyone who thinks differently overestimates the general population.

Noel Edmonds. I met him once. "Obnoxious git" would be an understatement.
I always remember him as the DJ on Radio One who was the only one who never seemed to play any decent music.

He's a bit of an easy target for satirists, so I will leave it at that :-)

When every bit of grass in concerted over? Can we say we are full then.?

As Old-geezer above says, our roads are full, not because of a lack of investment, but because we have too many vehicles on the road.

I drove back from London to the Midlands a few weeks ago and the M40 had loads of lorries, and every other one seemed to be from Poland, or other Eastern European country (I guess bringing "cheap" goods in to the country).

I think the country IS full, certainly we have reached capacity for our schools, hospitals, etc

I live on the edge of Birmingham and you only have to go a mile or so towards the centre of Birmingham to see schools were EVERY child is an immigrant (mostly Asian). It is awful.

Perhaps you mean ' of Asian origin ...' rather than specifically 'Asian'.

I don't think you can assess a child's country of origin on sight alone.

if people stop buying cheap goods, lorries will stop bringing them here. But if you want an economy where the consumer is king, you have to expect consumer goods to be transported. (Reviving the railways would be a sensible alternative, but who wants money spent on trains when it could be spent on roads?)
