Total failure to sell us on the benefits of staying in. We want to know who is scratching whose back to the extent that out it bad.
Basically, any moan we have about our taxes subsidising inefficient farmers or building nice smooth roads "over there" (where some of us (e.g. me) *never go* (nor plan to) should be equally applied to any British business which is, in fact, being propped up by EU grants (subsidies by any other name).
If you sincerely believe Call me Dave to be a shill for business-persons, bankers or corporations then keep that in mind when he argues that in is best.
As for keeping our 'influence' by staying in, picture yourself and 27 pals trying to decide which restaurant/club to go to next. Can you expect your voice, by itself, to have any sway over *all* of the rest of the group?
We have ~73 MEPs out of 751. The group can always force our hand. We have lost sovereignty when it comes to the region-wide laws which are supposedly so important for "unity".
If we stay in the Parliament may as well be dissolved as its relevance to cost ratio is just getting sillier by the year. Dave is campaigning himself into irrelevance, if you ask me. A directorship and 7-figure salary awaits him, for his troubles.
