Help With 1950’S Guardian Crossword Please

I am trying to solve the Guardian cryptic crossword published on the date of my birth, 11th October 1950 and am stuck on the last three.

9A: Buttons = ?A?E
16A: Country in which I lost a tennis-ball = ?T???
13D: Skin eruption = ?????E?A??
Any help much appreciated as the solution is no longer available.

I thought it was Page couldn't see why
Should have got "state"
Might have been useful if clue had 2 words rather than 10 letters as I was looking for a ten-letter word.
