This is not really a crossword related question but perhaps contributors in this area can help. My computer literate son has just installed Google Chrome and a password on my PC. It is immediately apparent that a session of crossword solving, instead of giving rise to up to 300 cookies, now produces less than a dozen. Very welcome - is the password protection responsible for this?
Thanks, CrapAtCryptics. I tried the website you mentioned and it seems to say that disabling cookies cuts one off from Google facilities. It still seems clear that if I use Internet Explorer or Firefox on my password protected PC, I still get hundreds of cookies but using Google Chrome produces less than a dozen. Perhaps the cookie monster has yet to discover my Google Chrome existence!
