They stupidly thought they could carry on and report things that were banned by the country and so potentially placed the world in a dangerous situation.

they were kin lucky they didn't bang em up for 15 years for spying.

You dish out gongs for stupidity far too easily. Would you be so generous if it were a Ch4/ ITV News crew who behaved irresponsibly ?

Retro...this investigative journalism...some thing the BBC is rather good.

And so is Ch4, as the Tory are finding out to their cost !
Arrested as they were about to leave - and they get expelled. I am sure they are mortified.
Smart move to file their copy before leaving the country wasn't it ?
I imagine it is hard enough for any western media to get into that loony, dangerous communist state. Thanks to their stupidity (investigative journalism) the loonies have probably shut the door.
They use RPGs in their firing squads in North Korea even if it happens to be your uncle who is the victim !!
Retrocop, //Thanks to their stupidity (investigative journalism) the loonies have probably shut the door. //

They use rocket propelled grenades in their firing squads Retro?

RPG or conventional bullet, you're just as dead either way. The RPG is just more flamboyant and is The Fat Guy's idea of 'macho'.
It sounds to me as if it was a set-up from the start, on the part of the NKs.
