Retro - there you are - you OK?
Afternoon Retro, are you home yet?
Have I missed something Danny?
Last I heard he was in hospital(some while ago though)
Hi Margo.
Not fully mended by a long chalk yet. Still quite breathless but no longer fighting for air. I actually had quite a fair sleep in my own bed last night instead of sitting upright in lounge chair since discharge on Sunday.
The pain in my left lung has disappeared which may suggest fluid is dissipating. Not coughing up blood. I am so disgusted with St Georges I am going to try and leave my GP to sort me out from now on. Will get a blood chit so I can find out if creatinine levels are now dropping.
I had sent you quite a lengthy tail of woe earlier today and YES they did book an appt for me at renal US Scan but the actual date was June 16th. :-(
Twice in same week I was assured by Acute Medicine Unit that an appt was booked for next day when it wasn't.
Hospitals in your area sound a bit useless in giving out appointments.
Hi danny,
Was discharged last Sunday but was referred by GP to casualty next day.Transferred to Acute Medical Unit on Monday afternoon and then attended same clinic/ward on Wednesday and Friday for further results so spent a lot of time there last week and didn't get back here. Too exhausted.
So what's next for you?
Retro - just read e mail. What a tale of woe it is. Unbelievable incompetence on the part of all concerned, I think a very strongly worded letter of complaint is fully justified. You must be sick to the teeth with it all. I am glad tohearthat you are feeling a little better now and hope your recovery continues.

I have felt so exhausted and spent in the last few weeks I am simply going to try and get nature and my GP to get me better by regular monitoring. I shouldn't have been given a 2nd dose of contrast dye (iodine)within 72hrs min instead of next day. Someone had a hair trigger on the panic button when my creatine level rose drastically after excess doseage and pumped me with too much IV liquids to flush my kidneys. They rebelled at being overwhelmed and I got fluid on lungs and brain swelling with excess fluids.
I have lost any faith or confidence in that hospital and will try to keep away from it if I can.
I can only hope that somehow you find a solution Retro.
