18d Frank's auxiliaries I have CANDID but cannot quite understand the

auxiliaries ! unless Can and Did are auxiliary words ??

any confirmation would be appreciated... Thank-You

As a matter of interest dannyk13, when I typed in what I believed to be the correct spelling of auxilliary my Microsoft Outlook corrected it to contain only one "l" as you point out. is this an American way ??

I think that auxiliary is the correct spelling.

I think the word ancillary may cause some of the confusion. (I sometimes see the incorrect additional i in ancilliary or the incorrect double LL in auxilliary)

Yes dannyk13, I did check with my dictionary before sending the original and I HAVE TO ADMIT PERHAPS A CALL TO MY OPTICIAN MAY BE THE ORDER OF THE DAY. sometimes when lower case i's and l's are next each other they
can merge and give the wrong impression !! Thanks again
