Sunday. Blowing quite an ooligan out there, the rain is almost horizontal. Shan't be out long this morning!

How daft can one get. I was using a peeler to peel a sweet potato yesterday, peeled a bit of skin off my thumb too! What an eejit! :-/

I went over to the Farmers Market in Stroud yesterday as planned, I got some lovely stuff. First stop was the Isle of Wight Garlic fafrm stand. Two tubs of garlic butter, three large bulbs of garlic of various types, Just the job. Went on to a produce stand and stocked up, a gluten free stand provided a Bakewell tart for when my gluten intollerent friend comex to dinner next time, (I'm assured it freezes well) A brewery I hadn't heard of provided four differen bottles of delightful delightful ales I'd not seen before, various odds and ends and in half an hour £70 evapourated! But I reckon on that I saved about £40 on shop prices. I'm a happy bunny. The fourpint bottles of beer were very good, they went while I was watching the rugby. :o}

Have a happy day everyone

morning boaty xx absolutely brassic here a very very thick frost..the car is shrouded in white and will take ages to thaw...going to collect mum and do a bit of Christmas shopping for bits and pieces...eats and home to watch tennis, can't be out too late in this weather as we may not make it up the hill and it is a hike, even more in sub zero temps with ice..
Question Author
Mor ning minty. xxx I think your weather will be down here before long. I'll be watching the tennis too, and rooting for wee Andy. :o}

I seem to have shaken off my cold, how's yours?

That's the downside of living at the top of a hill isn't it!
better than it was but still very chesty cough..no so hot though...had a clear out of a bedroom closet yesterday..been meaning to do it for ages...now have 9 pristine trouser suits some still with labels on and 32 smart jackets going begging...not worn any of them since I moved here 11 years ago....time to go.. size 12 jackets and 10 trousers...have one friend that size so she may take some off me..some designer labels ..don't want to put them out for collection as that gets pulped and they are much too good for that... we should have a swap /sell/give away section here !
Morning campers xx

That looks like a lot of money going minty. A charity shop would be delighted to have such quality clothes.

Talking of chaityies, I've been invited to another do with the Mayor of Gloucester, this time in his chamber at the Council offices, to do with the hospice again. The big art auction on Ebay is from 7. PM on 21st November, to 8. PM on the 1st December. There is a big party at the hospice on that evening, I shall be there!

Not too bad thanks. Had a nice holiday - back to Earth with a bump...

It was our anniversary yesterday so we exchanged gifts, went out to dinner and now a champagne breakfast beckons :) xx

How goes life for you, my lovely? Xx
Question Author
I'm on the mend from a rotten three week cold. apart from that I'm fine thanks.

Cutting back on a lot of things I (now) used to do. It was getting rediculous. I still go to the hospice, as a patient now. Also I still do the Visitor Centre at Saul Jumcgtion, Haveing some me time now.

Question Author
:o} It was a very special occasion.
It was only Cape Verde, Minty. Scorching, but not what I'd call exotic.

We're just booking to go to Boston via Reykjavik next April.

WBM.....what do you mean going to the hospice as a patient? :(
Nom..anywhere with sun is exotic at the moment !! lol....
you will love Boston..was there over Halloween once..very colonial and olde England if you know what I mean..nice people...

It was just a bit of daftness, for which we were renowned, It was the morning after the the surgeon that did Vera's cancer op, told us that he was 'chucking us out' from the regular check ups, but to phone his secretary direct if we had even a hint of a worry. He is a wonderfu man. Wd got on well.
Question Author
NM I've had COPD for many years, and a couple of the staff at the hospice spotted that I was suffering depression, I didn't notice, but they did. So I got gently bullied into seeing a delightful lady who speciallises in these things. She is very good. I'm not terminal, well I don't think so. :o}
