Wow
You are truly amazing Mamyalynne.
Thanks.
I can see the wordplay for kadai, mamyalynne- but i can't see the definition. Nor can i see it for Oropesa. Is this one of those with a twist/theme?
Kind of you to say but I struggled with this one.

Glad I could help a bit.
I would never have got any of those, Mamyalynne.
K(kettle) Ad (plug) A1 (smashing)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karahi
O (nothing) Rope (to tie) SA (sex appeal/it)

Definition of oropesa
plural -s
: one of a pair of torpedo-shaped floats towed one on each side by a minesweeper at a fixed distance to suspend the ends of the steel rope used to tear submerged mines from their moorings
Yes. I can see some of the wordplay (although i assumed the A1 was from at first- don't know where (smashing comes from), but I can't see definitions for either of those two
5dn plug in kettle at first, smashing pot. (5)
Thanks. I only knew of Oropesa as a place in Spain
Thanks. So the missing pot is the definition. Ah well, I wouldn't have got it even with the full clue.!
It was a challenging puzzle.
