First, Scotland was blessed with Salmon(d), who was succeeded by that haggis battle-axe, Sturgeon. Although not bad at rugby, running of Scotland by politicians such as this fishy pair is not for the good of this part of the UK.
London have only exacerbated the situation by giving Scotland too much free reign. Now, it's gone to their heads: some of the SNP have mutated into a power-crazy species, having little concern for the future of the country they were voted to represent.
Central government need to adopt a far more robust attitude -- albeit belatedly -- and work for the Union as a whole concept.

The SNP was voted to represent a devoved Scotland IN the EU.
Scotland did not vote to leave the EU, or to be told what to do by Theresa May, so I think you have to forgive their anger at being in that aituation.
You may think that after 350 years they might be used to being dominated, but apparently the Scots are a free-willed people.

Sturgeon will be hoping for support on the back of the nasty English dominated government refusing permission for a referendum. Drumming up nationalist support was behind her request not because she thought the time was right and she could win, and that's why I think May should have granted permission.
