26d Scan (in Spenser) verse enveloped in an early freshness (5) ??VEW
The first letter possibly = E
I am thinking on the lines of "V(erse) in "dew" but also Edmund Spenser spelt "view" as "vueu" or "viewe" or "vew" and I am getting completely frustrated!

could it be Bedew ?
Question Author
Unfortuntely no, Emeritus, the V comes from "Avizandum" which is definitely correct, and 25a would then be BBA?.

I have a different ending for 25a, but Baal may work. Will have another think about it.
Baas mean boss or overseer.
How do you parse 1a?
Is missing this knees - up for a good number locally (6) THR???
TH from This. I am not giving the answer here but the word means
Do well.
Hi hankir
re 1a. A knees-up is a word for a party. Your I is incorrect. 'Locally' means it's a dialectic word.
