Thanks mac. Can you please parse?
I can see the definition (cooler) and the AIR (song) but can't yet see where the CON comes from
C for queen + ON for playing?
Can't justify so amybe not C for queen- should be ER, R , Q or HM. Struggling here
I wondered about C for consort but am not aware that C is an abbreviation for consort.
Is there a Queen NOC, ONC, etc?
Queen NOC sounds vaguely familiar - maybe from a fantasy type film?
Clutching at straws now
Well there a Queen in CON (Chronicles of nNarnia)!
Is this the exact full clue please and are there any special instructions with the crossword?
Been looking at this for ages but cannot parse anything with queen.
Thanks danny. Glad it's not just me.
could it be the queen band?
Thought of that but still won't parse..
I assume the setter wanted us to think initially of Queen the band but was just playing with us. I think I know all Queen's stuff and history so can't link CON (or anagram of) to them
