Also posted in CB. Received a letter today from Seasons Travel, the gist of which is covered by this para:-

"We recently notified you of the Seasons Membership, confirming your status as a Green for Go Member. This membership is usually sold for 2950, but the directors of Funky Fogey confirmed to Seasons that you were one of the 60 prize-winners in their recent monthly prize draw, so you are not required to pay this Membership fee."

Does this sound real?
Anyone else received anything similar?
Is it a con, or just a way of getting me to contact them so they can try to sell me something (eg time share)?

I do enter lots of comps, so the Funkey Fogey bit could well be real, but no notification before now that I've won anything.

Tel, if you haven't done so already, please see my answer in CB for a link to some "interesting" opinions of Seasons Holidays.

Got it lom, and already posted a reply. Thanks for the link by the way - frightening what some companies will get up to!

Everyone - no need to respond further, got my answer in ChatterBank.

Hi forgetfultel, Well you should always think that if something sounds is too good to be true then it usually is not true. I have got to say that this sounds like a scam of some kind.

best to file it in the trash with all the offers of 5% of 15million dollars from Nigeria etc..etc..

qapmoc - did you work for the same Bank as me?, saw so many of those Nigerian things.
The parents of a friend of mine used to live in Nigeria, where apparently, if you fall for a con, the stigma (fault, blame, call it what you will) is on you, NOT on the person who cons you!
