NO.
no i don;t we surely have given enough into the aid budget to last ten lifetimes. Until they start sorting out our own problems i feel that we should curtail on many countries. especially those like Pakistan.

Ah, the Labour Magic Money Tree again!

No, I don't agree with him.
Is he having a laugh?. We need to reduce it.
First of all we should ensure that the aid we currently give , goes to the people that really need it and not to corrupt governments to buy the latest Limousine .

Route it directly to organisations like the red cross etc etc , who are independent of Governments .
Baz but if these countries don't let in the Red Cross, how do you get aid to the people who need it.
Basile, if we did that we would not get the 'goodwill' from the countries we support.
Exactly Bazile, if we must give money away.

However Labour have no concept of money, especially other peoples their attitude to the NHS is the same rather than addressing the poor and inflated management and procurement they think throwing our money t it is a vote winner and a good idea.

The governments that don't allow any aid organisations into the country , tend to be the corrupt ones , so the aid is not going to be spent on their peoples anyway .

If a country can demonstrate that aid that they receive is being spent on the people , then that's a different matter
Certainly not - stop it all until OUR people have no needs.
Yes I agree , but I would be astonished and amazed if more than 5 % of other AB's members share my view.
Voltaire's most famous quote applies here .
I disagree completely with what you are saying , but I will defend to the death your right to say it.
no, he's having a Turkish!
Our foreign aid budget is not "bloated"
It may well be that some of it is not going where it should and some is going where it should not, but the argument should be about (sorry to use the term) value for what we spend and how much we spend as a proportion of GDP. It is about "soft power" and that is very important. Of course there is another argument to be had about the extent one might trust Corbyn, if he got the chance, to give away any money to anyone, but that is a separate matter.
