1) Not quite a dam building rodent (it's not Amsterdam)
2) A chicken dish
3) Don't confuse with a Greek dish
4) Departs
5) Add a "C" to this bubbly chocolate
6) A man with an accent aigu
7) Two non-contract mobiles
8) Add an "a" to unspoilt

All you lovely people out there have helped enormously, but we still haven't found the answer to No. 4 - a capital city that sounds, or is spelt like, a word for "departs". We're pretty sure it's not Goa, as that's a state with Panaji as its capital. Any further thoughts??

Sorry, should have also said that "Quito" is the answer to another clue in the quiz; Finish with a 'zero'. Quito fits that perfectly.
